Frank behrens CEO

Frank is a senior business development executive with extensive experience in Latin America. Building relationships comes naturally to him. He has led various Dutch companies in Latin America and the USA, including Grolsch, ABN AMRO, and Sonnema. Over the past four years, he has served as Head of Business Development for The Ocean Cleanup, successfully implementing projects in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Guatemala. He secured a U$ 1 million grant from the Benioff Ocean Initiative for a project in Jamaica and has been negotiating government contracts with seven Central American countries. Frank has also managed major sponsors like Ambev, Natura, and PepsiCo for river cleaning projects and has worked on funding with institutions like the IDB and BCIE banks.

Alexander Aguirre Operations Manager

Alexander Aguirre is the Operations Manager for our project in Guatemala, where he leads efforts to combat plastic pollution in rivers. With dual master’s degrees in Computer Science and Cybersecurity, he oversees the installation of river barriers and manages mobile recycling plants that transform collected plastic into sustainable products. His role extends beyond operations, contributing to communication strategies by developing website content and producing educational videos. Alexander’s technical expertise and leadership in environmental conservation make him a pivotal figure in ensuring the success of this transformative project.
